RESEARCH

Meera has published and presented research across medical retina, artificial intelligence, ophthalmic imaging, cataract and digital eye care.
Her research has included work on deep-learning systems for the detection of retinopathy of prematurity, artificial-intelligence classification of retinal images, surgical outcomes in macular hole surgery, ophthalmic simulation and the availability of image datasets for anterior-segment artificial intelligence research.

She was also part of a team awarded a £70,000 Bayer Ophthalmology Research Award for research into artificial intelligence in retinopathy of prematurity.
