I am an advocate in changing how the future generation can stop climate change and how we can collectively help our current Myopia crisis. I set up the first myopia control clinic in the UK to provide children with low dose atropine eye drops, a treatment known to be effective in ameliorating progression of Myopia. Quickly however, I realised that the pandemic of myopia was far more complicated. Since then I have uncovered much more data and research to which now I see myopia as part of the problems we are all facing rather than a separate issue needing a separate solution. Solve one and we solve them all.

Her work spans cataract surgery and modern vision-correction options, delivered with calm guidance and evidence-based care so patients understand every choice. Trained across respected UK and international centres, she combines surgical skill with clear communication and meticulous planning. Over time, she has learned that great results come from aligning technology with real-world needs. Her philosophy is simple: listen carefully, treat thoughtfully, and tailor the plan so vision fits the life you want.
I enjoy collaborating with like-minded colleagues, developing my clinical interests, and contributing to new ways of working to solve real-world clinical challenges. I have contributed to the Blindness Prevention Programme in South Africa, in conjunction with the Tshemba Foundation. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, travelling, and cycling around London.
As a dedicated Optometrist with over two decades of experience, fuelled by a love for learning and a zest for life, I embrace life beyond the lens. Passionate about adventure, dancing, fitness, cooking, and travel. I volunteer at Shishukunj, a global charity focused on children’s welfare. I aim to positively impact my patients’ lives while cherishing moments with family and friends.
In earlier education I achieved a Grade 8 Distinction from Royal College of Music in piano. I have a passion for mountaineering and have climbed Mt Kenya (5000m) and Mt Sinai in Africa, the Franz Joseph Gacier in New Zealand, and Mt. Ali (2000m) in Taiwan. I specialise in retinal treatments and medical retinal disorders including, diabetic retinopathy and retinal vein occlusion and help save the sight of patients across London and the UK.
Outside of my professional practice, I enjoy engaging in out-door sports, especially tennis and football. I value physical activities and adventure so much that I have completed a training course in Parachute Jumping. I am also fully competent in a large number of computer applications and statistical analysis which further aids my investigations in managing corneal diseases which is a special medical interest of mine.
I enjoy gardening, travelling, cycling and spending time with my family. I can speak Gujarati, Urdu, Hindi and English. In my spare time, I volunteer for a charity called Vision Care for Homeless People (VCHP). I specialise in Cataract surgery, Glaucoma and Laser Refractive Surgery across North London and met lots of fantastic patients.
Outside medicine, I am a keen diver and deeply passionate about environment protection. Discovering the underwater world has made me appreciate how wonderful nature is and the importance of protecting our ecosystem. I also love music and plays the piano and oboe. I am fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
Outside of the consulting room I have a deep passion for photography and I am the founder of ICSMART; a development room for photography. I am passionate about reducing the burden of sight loss in my community and I work closely with optometrists delivering higher education and co-authored the Diploma in Optometry at UCL Institute of Ophthalmology.

On July 30th 1993 Mr. Bolger had the great honour of being presented to Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and to take her on a tour of the Ophthalmic Department. She met Mr. Bolger’s patients at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital who had had their operation the day before. Mr. Bolger explained to the Queen his procedure and talked her through a video of surgery.
