After cataract surgery, your cloudy natural lens is replaced with a clear artificial lens and you can choose which type it is. That choice shapes how you see for years to come. From enhanced monofocal (crisp distance), to EDOF (better range for screens), to multifocal/trifocal (near, intermediate, and distance), plus toric options for astigmatism. Each design balances clarity at different distances, night-vision comfort, and reliance on glasses.
At My-iClinic in North London, we match the lens to your eyes and lifestyle so you get the vision that fits how you live.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding care from start to finish I am writing this review on behalf of Mr. Alan Nathan Gershon (Mr G), whom I care for. At 95 years old, he attended myiClinic London on 12 August 2026 for a YAG laser procedure, which was initially planned for his left eye only. From the moment we arrived, every member of staff was welcoming, kind, respectful, and professional. We were treated with genuine care and dignity throughout our visit. A special thank you goes to Ms. Bola Odufuwa-Bolger, the Clinic Director and Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon. Her patient-centred approach was exceptional. During the assessment, she carefully discovered that although Mr. G's left eye had the thicker after-cataract, his right eye was also affected. The procedure took much longer than expected, but she remained patient, meticulous, and determined to achieve the best possible outcome. After the procedure, she felt the left eye might need to be redone. However, by the very next day, Mr. G's eyesight had improved remarkably. He now enjoys a renewed lease of vision—he can even read without his prescription glasses, something that has made an enormous difference to his quality of life. We are also incredibly grateful to Catalina Tomulescu, the Ophthalmic Technician, whose kindness and support were wonderful, as well as every member of the team who cared for Mr. G. As his carer, I left feeling humbled by the compassion, respect, and professionalism shown to us. Mr. G is deeply thankful for everything the myiClinic team has done. Thank you all for your outstanding work—please keep doing what you're doing. You have given a 95-year-old gentleman the priceless gift of seeing the world more clearly again.Posted on Google![]()

My-iClinic in Whetstone, North London is, quite simply, the best. I went there for a bilateral cataract procedure, and the surgical team's depth of technical expertise, professionalism, care and empathy are all beyond compare. The results speak for themselves, but I will also do so anyway: following the procedure, I now have vision better than at any point in my life to date, even with contacts. All my thanks go to Bola and her team. My advice: if you have vision issues, do not waste your time going anywhere else- go to My-iClinic and say I sent you!!Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. Our premium lenses come at an extra cost added to your cataract surgery price. Depending on the lenses and suitability for your vision, our cataract specialist will be able to disclose the lens prices that are suitable for you.
Depending on the implants a person is suitable for, our cataract patients have achieved much better vision by choosing EDoF, Torric, Multifocal, Monofocal or Trifocal lenses.
We provide the perfect laser treatment for seeing near, intermediate and distance vision altogether without artificial lens implantation.
Your full choice of Implantable lenses in North London.
Our Extended Depth of Focus lenses are used for our presbyopic patients needing a broader range of vision from their intermediate to distance vision.
Monovision is an older method where one eye is corrected for distance vision and the other for near tasks, relying on the brain to blend the two. While it can work for some people, it often reduces depth perception and may cause visual imbalance.
Modern trifocal lenses eliminate these limitations by providing clear vision at all distances: near, intermediate, and far, through both eyes working together.
Experience the freedom of clear vision at every distance with our state-of-the-art laser treatment, designed to restore near, intermediate, and distance focus, all without implanting an artificial lens.

Our patients consider having Presbyond laser eye surgery and/or premium lenses implanted after their cataract surgery to improve their vision and reduce the need for glasses. Cataract surgery requires removing the cloudy lens of your eye, therefore our surgeons need to replace your natural lens with an artificial Intraocular lens. We provide Presbyond and/or premium lenses to customise the results of your vision after removing your cataract. Our patients chose to have Presbyond surgery or premium lenses to increase the quality of their life with clearer vision.
Lens replacement surgery after having your cataracts removed requires an artificial lens to be implanted in your eyes to improve your vision. Lenses we provide improve refractive errors such as: nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. Presbyond laser eye surgery has a 97% success rate in achieving clear vision for all points of sight (near, intermediate and distance). Our patients report that they are less dependent on their glasses, and after adjusting back to normal vision, they can resume all their lifestyle activities without needing to worry about glasses and/or contact lenses.
The artificial lenses we provide are made from gentle, flexible materials (acrylic, silicone, polymer or collagen) to naturally accommodate the eye. Once the lens is inserted, you will not feel the implant in your eye.
Our cataract surgeons will implant the artificial lens into your eye once removing your cloudy lens. The artificial lens is folded and inserted through a very small incision made so that it rests in the same place as your natural lens once did.
Depending on the patient’s suitability and their own expectations for their vision, EDoF lenses (Extended Depth of Focus lenses) generally provide a better optical quality than other lenses. This is because EDoF uses a new IOL technology which extends the range of vision you can see in comparison to monovision or standard toric lenses. Our cataract patients report that EDoF lenses reduce symptoms of glare, starbursts and halos which can be common side effects of other artificial lenses.
Yes, if you are suitable for laser eye surgery we can provide laser treatment after cataract surgery as an alternative to artificial lens implantation. This laser treatment is called Presbyond and has a 97% success rate in achieving clear vision for all distances in your vision.
Every person has different requirements and expectations for their vision after cataract surgery. Having cataract surgery is already a massive improvement for your sight but having Presbyond laser treatment is a very successful procedure if you wish to be independent from your glasses. Our other premium lenses can achieve clear vision for certain points of sights if you do not mind wearing glasses for smaller tasks.
Yes! That’s exactly what makes them “premium.” These lenses are selected based on how you live, not just what you can see on a chart. Whether you spend hours driving, working at a computer, or reading fine print, your surgeon can choose a lens design, such as trifocal or extended depth of focus (EDOF) that matches your visual habits. The goal isn’t just clarity, but comfort and confidence in every environment, day and night.
